Mystery of Melting Ice: Solved! ( sort of )And here you thought hot things just made cold things melt. Not so fast, Buck Rogers. Ya see, while it's true that warmer things jiggle around more and create some friction that causes melting no one could see the early stages of melting ice because atoms are tiny and, well, frozen in solid ice. Solution: make bigger atoms. Is it a perfect solution? Not really. In atoms, like anything else, size matters. Next; solving the mystery of that pesky water molecule.
