French Energy Workers Protest Privatization By Cutting Power To The Presidential Palace
The French government is mired in unmanageable debt. To get rid of some of that debt, and the burden of their pampered working class used to sucking from the government teat, French utility workers concerned that privatization might mean actual work and less time for protesting cut power to the Presidential Palace.
If this were any place but France, this thing would have drastic blowback. That kind of irresponsible conduct would lead to faster privatization of the utility workers being told they are more interested in lining their self-interested pockets than serving France. But since it is France, look for the government to change their minds.
